Happily ever after? The Ultimatum: Queer Love<\/em><\/a> hit Netflix in May 2023, putting five couples\u2019 relationships to the ultimate test.<\/p>\n Just like in the reality series\u2019 first installment \u2014 2022\u2019s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On<\/em><\/a> \u2014 one person from each pair entered the social experiment wanting to get married while the other person had reservations about tying the knot.<\/p>\n The contestants then chose new partners from the rest of the group and temporarily moved in together. At the end of the experiment, the original couples decided whether to get married or call it quits.<\/p>\n Although season 2 of the Netflix show followed the same premise as its predecessor, Queer Love<\/em> featured an all-LGBTQ+, predominantly female cast. JoAnna Garcia Swisher<\/strong><\/a> also stepped in as host, taking over for Nick Lachey<\/strong> <\/a>and Vanessa Lachey<\/strong><\/a>, who headed Marry or Move On<\/em>.<\/p>\n In a May 2023 interview with POPSUGAR<\/a>, Swisher said that despite all of the show\u2019s drama, the best part of her hosting experience was witnessing the love the couples had for each other.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the heart of it, there\u2019s just so much love<\/a> between the people that participated in the show, and it was just really amazing to see how vulnerable they were, and how willing they were to go there and experience the task at hand,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n One couple from the show, Sam Mark<\/strong> and Aussie Chau<\/strong>, feel \u201ceven more in love<\/a>\u201d after going through the experience together. \u201cI really am so lucky to be with this person,\u201d Aussie told Tudum<\/a> in June 2023, noting that Sam was one of the first people that \u201cquestioned\u201d Aussie\u2019s gender identity.<\/p>\n \u201cShe allowed that space for me to explore and I\u2019m still exploring<\/a>. Am I nonbinary? Am I [a] trans man? Am I transmasculine? These are all the things that weren\u2019t in my vocabulary growing up. Having a partner who\u2019s supportive in that journey has allowed me the space to do that,\u201d Aussie explained.<\/p>\n The couple are taking their time<\/a> with planning their nuptials with Aussie noting that their relationship is based on \u201cso much more of a commitment than just having a wedding.\u201d The reality TV alum also revealed that Tiff Der<\/strong> and Vanessa Papa<\/strong> are the only Queer Love<\/em> alums who can expect an invitation to the wedding.<\/p>\n As for Mildred Woody<\/strong>, who was Aussie\u2019s temporary partner during the social experiment, the duo are not currently on speaking terms. \u201cThere\u2019s still some healing for me to do on my end, and I\u2019m going to get there,\u201d Aussie explained.<\/p>\n
