\t\t<\/p>\n Thora Birch<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s husband is speaking out after the couple got into an altercation with an autograph seeker outside an award season event this past weekend.<\/p>\n The Hocus Pocus<\/em> actress and her husband, Michael Benton Adler<\/strong><\/a>, were exiting the BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills on Saturday when they were approached by an autograph seeker. <\/p>\n TMZ<\/a> has shared a video of the altercation, in which Michael<\/strong> claimed that the \u201cman had been bothering Thora <\/strong>all weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n At one point Michael<\/strong> allegedly grabbed the photos from the autograph seeker and ripped them up. Thora <\/strong>yelled to the man, \u201cI\u2019ll f\u2013king knock you out,\u201d while being held back by her husband. Eventually, she signed the photos. <\/p>\n \u201cFor all you people out there, don\u2019t listen to this stuff. These people are wrong. They\u2019re bad people. All we were trying to do is walk out,\u201d Michael <\/strong>said to the person recording video of the incident.<\/p>\n Now, Michael <\/strong>has released a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cThora Birch <\/strong>and I wanted to address the incident Saturday. We are deeply regretful for its escalation. As we left an event, my wife, Thora<\/strong>, was accosted by a professional autograph seeker who followed us to our car from a private area. Thora <\/strong>was trying to deescalate the situation. She is Jewish and has close family in Israel and was simply trying to place an accent.
