So proud and inspired by you,\u201d Alix expressed. \u201cNo challenge you can\u2019t face and come back stronger .. In fact, she was the runner-up!<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, Alisa received her cancer diagnosis <em>while <\/em>her famous daughter was filming.<\/p>\n<p>Alix detailed that she found out mid-season \u2014 but that it did not prevent her mother from showering her with in-person support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe found out [about] halfway through the season and she still showed up every week,\u201d Alix wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Many doctors might advise someone with cancer to do just that. Unlike some ailments (like heart disease), some cancers respond very well to attitude and optimism.
