\u201cWhat is so interesting is,\u201d Janelle remarked, \u201cthe first time around, the first written offer, Kody, Meri and I had completed the title work signatures like within a week.\u201d<\/p>\n
She shared: \u201cI sent in the checks to the title company so no one would balk about paying for the fees.\u201d<\/p>\n
As the rest of them awaited a signature from Robyn, Janelle explained, the contract for the offer was \u201cabout to expire.\u201d<\/p>\n
She characterized: \u201cRobyn pops up and says, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m not going to do it unless you guys sign this confidentiality agreement.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n\u2018Sister Wives\u2019 producers knew exactly what they were doing when they zoomed in on Kody Brown\u2019s face like this. \u201cAnd,\u201d she continued, \u201cthat we would all be confidential, like we wouldn\u2019t talk about this agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n
Janelle summarized this as a \u201cpower play\u201d from Robyn, flexing this leverage during a brief window to try to force the issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo Robyn hadn\u2019t chimed in at all the entire six weeks,\u201d Janelle described. \u201cAnd at the very end, she comes with a completed document for us to sign.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kody apparently approached her, wanting her to talk to Meri. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was all about silencing me. It was all about confidentiality,\u201d Meri explained during the special. \u201cI don\u2019t know. They didn\u2019t want me to talk and I could not figure out why.\u201d<\/p>\n
She declared: \u201cSo when they say \u2018Meri was stopping it, Meri was stopping it\u2019 \u2014 damn right I was.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meri affirmed: \u201cBecause I\u2019m not going to be silenced again. She explained that this is \u201cbecause I\u2019m not going to sign a contract that tells me to be quiet with no reason.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meri added: \u201cI had no reason to be silenced.\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued: \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t know why they kept putting that in there.\u201d<\/p>\n
