Seth Rogen admits Golden Globes are still inspiring The Studio<\/p>\n
The 43-year-old actor – who stars and directs the Apple TV sitcom as well as serving as executive producer – has confirmed Sunday’s (11.01.26) ceremony has given the team plenty of material for the next batch of episodes.<\/p>\n
He told reporters in the press room: “Yes, several things happened today and leading up to this even that we’ve written directly into the show.”<\/p>\n
In the first season, the eighth episode is set – and was filmed – at the Golden Globes, while there are plenty of opportunities for cameos.<\/p>\n
He added: “A lot of people came up to us [tonight] and said \u2018Put me in your show, I\u2019ll do anything!’<\/p>\n
\n“The head of Sony, Tom (Rothman). A lot of the studio heads want to be on the show. Ted [Sarandos] kind of ruined it. <\/p>\n
\n“here\u2019s a few people we roped in tonight. This is a good poaching ground for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSeth also revealed that filming is set to get underway “in a week”.<\/p>\n
\nDuring his acceptance speech after winning the award for Best Television Series – Musical Or Comedy, Seth – who also won the best actor prize for his role as Matt Remick – heaped praise on the wider team who made the show happen.<\/p>\n
\nHe said on stage: “Half our writers are at table one and the other half are at table 228. “We shoot our show in continuous takes. And part of the reason I wanted to do that is it doesn\u2019t work unless the whole crew really comes together to make it work.<\/p>\n
\n“And so, I really want to thank our crew, most of whom don\u2019t get invited to this, but they should.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Seth couldn’t help but see the humour in his big win, just months after the show satirised the ceremony.<\/p>\n
\nAfter winning his acting award, he laughed as he took to the stage: “This is so weird! We just pretended to do this. And now it is happening!<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI thought the only way I would get to hold one is to create a show to give myself a fake one.\u201d<\/p>\n
