Jeremiah Green, the founding drummer for the rock band Modest Mouse<\/strong>, died on New Year’s Eve, just days after the band announced he had been diagnosed with cancer. He was 45.<\/p>\n \u201cToday we lost our dear friend Jeremiah. He laid down to rest and simply faded out,\u201d according to a statement posted Saturday on the band\u2019s social media accounts. \u201cPlease appreciate all the love you give, get, have given, and will get. Modest Mouse began in the Seattle suburb of Issaquah and eventually relocated to Portland.
