Sean Hayes<\/a>.<\/p>\nWill – who also hosts SmartLess with 56-year-old actor Jason Bateman – quipped: “[Sean has] actually written all the speeches for all the nominees for every category. He\u2019s written Amy\u2019s acceptance speech already.”<\/p>\n
In December 2025, Will – who has been hosting SmartLess since July 2020 – revealed the text Amy, 54, sent him after they were both nominated in the Best Podcast category.<\/p>\n
\nHe read the text from the Inside Out star – who launched Good Hang in March 2025 – that he received whilst he discussed his new movie, Is This Thing On? with The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n
\nAmy – who met Will in the 1990s, when he watched her perform in an improv group in New York – wrote in the message: “Congrats. Let\u2019s party.”<\/p>\n
\nLaughing as he read the text, Amy added, per Will: “I don\u2019t have Bateman\u2019s number, but that\u2019s for the best.”<\/p>\n
\nThe duo – who were re-introduced by mutual pals in 2000 before sparks flew – are battling for the Golden Globe against Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, The Mel Robbins Podcast and Up First.<\/p>\n
\nWill married Amy in 2003, and went on to have sons Archie, 17, in 2008 and Abel, 15, in 2010.<\/p>\n
\nThe couple broke up after nine years of marriage in 2012, with their divorce finalised in 2016.<\/p>\n
\nIn April 2025, Amy – who remains close with Will – appeared on SmartLess, and he praised the Saturday Night Live alum for being a great mom.<\/p>\n
\nWill – who has been dating 1990s supermodel Carolyn Murphy, 51, since September 2025 after they were “set up” by a mutual friend – said: “I have to try really hard, but Amy, you\u2019re really good at this, and you help me do this in concert with you, to remember to listen to what they\u2019re saying and to not try to impose what I think, \u2018You need this, you need that.’<\/p>\n
\n“To actually sit and listen to what your kid is trying to say. Encourage them to, as much as they can, to speak. I don\u2019t come by it naturally because that\u2019s not how I was raised.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd the Lego Batman actor is “really proud” of their co-parenting relationship.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “Of course, things take a minute because everybody is sort of adjusting to what it is.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m also very proud of, certainly as parents, what we\u2019ve been able to do. That has been really important to both of us. I\u2019m really, really lucky to have her as a partner in this way.<\/p>\n
\n“There aren\u2019t many people I speak to more than I speak to her, which is weird, you know what I mean. But it\u2019s great. I feel really lucky.<\/p>\n
\n“She\u2019s the person that I go like, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m thinking about doing this.\u2019 Whether it\u2019s life or work and I really seek her counsel because it\u2019s important to me, because I trust her.<\/p>\n
\n“She\u2019s awesome.”<\/p>\n
