Duncan Jones<\/a>, whom the Heroes hitmaker had with his 76-year-old ex-wife, model-and-actress Angie Bowie – added the hashtag “#BowieForever”.<\/p>\nIman set the post to David’s 1977 track Subterraneans.<\/p>\n
\nHer followers reacted to the sweet tribute in the post’s comments section.<\/p>\n
\nOne person penned: “Amazing. Simply beautiful. Thinking of you, Lexi and Duncan (and family) on this day. Sending light and love always. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nA second user wrote: “What a beautiful tattoo. And tribute to your wonderful husband.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd a third supporter typed: “True love never dies! Much much [love] to you and your family! Beautiful tribute! (sic).”<\/p>\n
\nJust two days before the 10th anniversary of David’s death, Iman marked what would have been his 79th birthday with a sweet Instagram post.<\/p>\n
\nCaptioning a black-and-white photo of the five-time Grammy award winner, she penned: “Jan 8th. Happy Heavenly Birthday. Your light burns so bright in all our hearts! We love and miss you.”<\/p>\n
\nIman added the hashtag “#BowieForever”.<\/p>\n
\nAlexandria also took to the social media platform and paid tribute to her dad on his birthday.<\/p>\n
\nCaptioning a series of photos of the pair together over the years, she wrote: “Da big 79 today. Happy birthday pops, miss ya! (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nIman met David when they were set up on a blind date in 1990.<\/p>\n
\nIn 2000, the Starman hitmaker told HELLO! magazine: “My attraction to her was immediate and all-encompassing.<\/p>\n
\n“That she would be my wife, in my head, was a done deal,\u201d he gushed. \u201cI’d never gone after anything in my life with such passion in all my life. I just knew she was the one.”<\/p>\n
\nIman knew David was her Mr. Right two weeks into dating him.<\/p>\n
\nIn 2011, she told The Cut: “I was coming from Paris, and I got to Los Angeles at the airport. The doors open to the plane, and I come out, and I see all these people taking a picture of somebody\u2026He was standing there, flowers in hand, no security. That was when I knew he was a keeper.”<\/p>\n
\nAfter popping the question to Iman on the banks of the River Seine in France, the couple wed twice in 1992.<\/p>\n
\nThey were first legally married in a private ceremony on April 24 that year in Lausanne, Switzerland, and then they had a bigger wedding ceremony two months later at the American Church of St. James in Florence, Italy, on June 6, 1992.<\/p>\n
\nAnd the couple were together up until David’s death in January 2016.<\/p>\n
\nIn a 2021 interview with People, Iman said she “still feels married” following David’s passing.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “Someone a few years ago referred to David as my late husband, and I said, \u2018No, he’s not my late husband. He’s my husband.\u2019 Through my memory, my love lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
