Kennedy Jr.<\/strong><\/a> is reacting to The Kennedy Center\u2019s name change.<\/p>\n Last month, Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> announced that he was changing the name<\/a> of the iconic performing arts center to the Kennedy-Trump Center, months after he took over as chair of the board<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, The Kennedy Center opened in 1971 and was designated by Congress as a living memorial to the assassinated President John F. Kennedy<\/strong>, who was the 71-year-old Secretary of Health and Human Services\u2019 uncle.<\/p>\n In a new interview, RFK Jr.<\/strong> publicly addressed the Kennedy Center\u2019s name change for the first time.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>While speaking with CBS News<\/a> chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes<\/strong>, RFK Jr.<\/strong> was asked if he understood why many of his family members were \u201cupset\u201d<\/a> by Trump<\/strong>\u2018s decision to rename the center.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course. I understand it, but I have bigger fish to fry,\u201d RFK Jr.<\/strong> said, before noting that there are other issues with higher priority that he\u2019s focusing on.<\/p>\n \u201cIf we lose any children in this country to obesity, heart disease \u2014 77 percent of our kids can\u2019t qualify for the military,\u201d he said. \u201cSaving one life is more important to me than the name on a building.\u201d<\/p>\n Since Trump<\/strong>\u2018s takeover, many other artists that have canceled<\/a> appearances at the Kennedy Center.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
