After dating for over two years, <\/span>Bill Hader<\/b> and <\/span>Ali Wong<\/b> have ended their relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n

A source told <\/span>P<\/span><\/i>eople<\/span><\/a> that their busy schedules and family obligations made it difficult to maintain the romance. \u201cIt was too challenging to make the relationship work with Ali\u2019s upcoming stand-up tour and Bill\u2019s various film and TV projects this year,\u201d the insider said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, the source adds, \u201cThey\u2019re focusing on their work and kids, while continuing to support and root for each other.\u201d Despite the split, things remain \u201cvery amicable\u201d with Hader and Wong staying friends and in regular contact.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speculation about the couple\u2019s relationship surfaced early last year, when Wong did not walk the red carpet with Hader or mention him in her acceptance speech at the 2025 Golden Globes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time, a representative for Hader told <\/span>People <\/span><\/i>the couple was still together and explained that Hader had missed the event due to a health issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

After meeting in 2016, <\/span>while working on The Angry Birds Movie, Wong and Hader didn\u2019t get together until years later.<\/span><\/p>\n

People<\/span><\/i> previously confirmed in April 2023 that Hader and Wong, who had a brief relationship in the fall of 2022, rekindled their romance after Wong\u2019s separation from ex-husband <\/span>Justin Hakuta<\/b>, which was finalized in May 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wong and Hakuta first announced their split in April 2022 after eight years of marriage. A source told <\/span>People<\/span><\/i> at the time<\/span><\/a> that the divorce was \u201camicable and they will continue to co-parent lovingly.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, Wong did not officially file for divorce until December 2023, and the divorce was finalized in May 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her Netflix special <\/span>Ali Wong: Single Lady<\/span><\/i>, released in October 2024, Wong spoke about her public divorce.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDivorce gets <\/span>a really bad reputation<\/span><\/a> and it can sound really scary and full of acrimony,\u201d she said. \u201cBut then just look at me as an alternate example of how it can be: I\u2019m best friends with my ex-husband.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI need him desperately, and I need to respect him,\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wong also revealed that Hader reached out to her after learning about her divorce. After getting her number from a mutual friend, he reportedly texted that he had a crush on her \u201cforever\u201d and asked her to be his girlfriend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wong then shared that Hader even sent her flowers while she was traveling in Europe. \u201cI did fall in love again,\u201d she said during the special. \u201cSome of you might know who the guy is. And it just so happens to be the man who sent me all of those flowers in Europe.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Wong is set to return to the stage for her live tour starting in Houston, Texas on January 16. The tour will end in the spring of 2026. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
