Bad news for fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Britney Spears<\/strong> <\/a>performing in the States any time soon.<\/p>\n

The singer, 44, vowed she\u2019ll \u201cnever perform in the U.S. again\u201d in a post shared via her Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, January 8.<\/p>\n

\u201cSending this piano to my son this year!!! she captioned a throwback photo of herself on stage sitting next to a piano. \u201cInterestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it\u2019s embarrassing sometimes\u2026 but I walked through the fire to save my life\u2026 \u201c<\/p>\n

Spears added that she\u2019s steering clear of taking to the stage in her home country but teased future international performances in the U.K. and Australia.<\/p>\n

Spears, 42, shares sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, with her [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son\u2026 in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe\u2019s a huge star and I\u2019m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

While Spears did not name which son she was referencing in the post, she shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline<\/strong>: Jayden<\/strong>, 19, and Preston<\/strong>, 20.<\/p>\n

She previously described Jayden as a \u201cgenius\u201d<\/a> in a March 2025 Instagram post that featured a video of her son playing the piano.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in awe of him,\u201d she said in the post. \u201cI can\u2019t believe he\u2019s mine!!! I was honestly scared that\u2019s not normal!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Jayden celebrated Christmas<\/a> with his mom in California while Preston spent the holidays with the \u201c\u2026 Baby One More Time\u201d singer\u2019s family in Louisiana.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had an amazing time with Jayden on Christmas,\u201d a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on December 30. \u201cThey laughed a lot and bonded more than they have in a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Previously, the \u201cGimme More\u201d singer performed regularly from 2013 to 2017 as part of her lucrative Las Vegas residency, Britney: Piece of Me.<\/em><\/p>\n

She was set to follow up with her second residency, Domination<\/em>, in 2019 but pulled the plug indefinitely<\/a> before it kicked off, citing family issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am dedicating my focus and energy to care for my family,\u201d Spears said in a statement on January 4, 2019. \u201cWe have a very special relationship and I want to be with my family at this time just like they have always been there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears first showed off her vocal skills on the singing competition Star Search at 10 years old in 1992. Following a stint on The Mickey Mouse Club, she signed a record deal with Jive Records in 1997 and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Spears continued, \u201cThank you to all my fans for your continued love and support during this time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and I look forward to the time when I can be back on stage performing for all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a press release at the time, Jamie Spears<\/strong> was rushed to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas two months prior to the announcement after his colon spontaneously ruptured. He was taken into surgery and spent 28 days in the hospital before being released to his home.<\/p>\n
