Dax Shepard<\/strong><\/a> is already thinking about grandpa life \u2014 even if it\u2019s still very far away.<\/p>\n The 51-year-old actor and \u201cArmchair Expert\u201d podcast host recently opened up about a sweet (and surprisingly thoughtful) conversation he had with his younger daughter, Delta, 11, after she shared that she dreams of becoming a mom someday. Dax shares Delta, as well as daughter Lincoln, 12, with wife Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDelty was saying how she can\u2019t wait to have a baby,\u201d Dax recalled on the Monday, January 5, episode of Armchair Expert.<\/p>\n According to the proud dad, Delta\u2019s nurturing side is already on full display at home. \u201cFor people who don\u2019t know, our life is a traveling circus of Delty\u2019s stuffies,\u201d he joked. \u201cThe bulk of our luggage as a family are her stuffies.\u201d<\/p>\n When Delta first brought up wanting kids in the future, Dax said he was careful with how he responded, wanting to be supportive without pushing any expectations.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s saying she wants to have a baby, and I said, \u2018When do you think you\u2019ll have your first child? When you turn 18?\u2019 I want to be supportive of whatever,\u201d he explained. \u201cI don\u2019t want to plant any seeds that I\u2019d be judgmental or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n As it turns out, motherhood at 18 is not part of Delta\u2019s plan. Dax guessed his daughter might want kids later in life \u2014 somewhere between 35 and 45 \u2014 which led him to offer a very modern solution.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018If you want to, we\u2019ll freeze your eggs when you\u2019re 18. I\u2019ll pay for you to get your eggs frozen so you don\u2019t have to think about that,\u2019\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n The Parenthood<\/em> alum was quick to acknowledge his family\u2019s privilege, adding, \u201cacknowledging all luck and privilege, obviously, this isn\u2019t an option for most people.\u201d Still, he explained that he understands the pressure many women feel when balancing career goals with family planning. \u201cI think they\u2019re going to be wrestling with the same thing every woman is. You\u2019re gonna want to do your career\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the first time Dax has shared Delta\u2019s refreshingly honest takes on life. Back in March 2025, he recalled her reaction to Sabrina Carpenter\u2019<\/strong>s song \u201cJuno.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe goes, \u2018But do you know what Juno is?\u2019 and I go, \u2018No\u2026\u2019 and she\u2019s like, \u2018Well, it\u2019s a movie,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201c\u2018Yeah, it\u2019s a story about a girl who gets pregnant.\u2019 I go, \u2018That\u2019s a little nasty.\u2019 And she goes, \u2018What\u2019s nasty about wanting to have a baby with somebody?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
