\t\t<\/p>\n Connor Storrie<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his Russian accent in Heated Rivalry<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 25-year-old actor stars as Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov, and is so good at the accent and pronunciation of Russian words that he convinced people, including native Russians, that he is really from Russia. <\/p>\n However, in real life, Connor<\/strong> is actually just from Texas and lives in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n In a newly released interview, he dished on perfecting the accent and how he would talk in that accent the entire day as soon as he stepped foot on set. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n While speaking with Behind the Blinds<\/a><\/em>, he was asked if there were any tricks he found to help tap into the accent. <\/p>\n \u201cNo, not really. For me, it was about time and consistency. The moment I got out of the car on set, I started speaking with the accent to all the PAs, all the ADs, hair, makeup, and wardrobe people. I stayed in it until the last cut of the day. Not because I was \u2018in character,\u2019 but because it gave me an hour and a half to warm up,\u201d Connor shared. <\/p>\n \u201cAccents feel ridiculous at first. You think, \u2018I don\u2019t sound like that.\u2019 Of course you don\u2019t. But if you normalise it \u2013 both for yourself and for the people around you \u2013 it starts to feel real,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think that\u2019s why people convince themselves they\u2019re bad at accents.
