Ashley Tisdale, <\/b>(now Ashley French), best known for her role as Sharpay Evans in the <\/span>High School Musical <\/span><\/i>trilogy, is opening up about a toxic mom group she was part of in Hollywood\u2014and why she decided to walk away.<\/span><\/p>\n In a candid essay for <\/span>The Cut<\/span><\/i><\/a>, French explains why she joined the group in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI felt lucky when my friend brought together a group of new moms that she knew,\u201d she wrote. \u201cMy friend\u2019s friends were in the same situation as I was. Most of us had been pregnant through the early pandemic, so we missed out on the activities where you meet other expectant mothers.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe hadn\u2019t had baby showers or prenatal yoga, and hardly anyone had held our newborns,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut finally, we were able to be together, and our kids were able to be together, and it all felt right.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Over time though, the dynamic began to shift in the once supportive group.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI began to wonder whether that was really true,\u201d French admitted. \u201cI remember being left out of a couple of group hangs, and I knew about them because Instagram made sure it fed me every single photo and Instagram Story.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
