Adam Sandler<\/a> believes he would still have married his wife, Jackie, even if he hadn’t gotten famous.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The 59-year-old actor met his other half when she had a minor role in his 1999 movie Big Daddy, and they went on to tie the knot in 2003, and have daughters Sunny, 19, and Sadie, 16, together.<\/p>\n
Sandler\u00a0says their meeting was “destiny” and they’d still end up together if he ended up working for his dad’s electrical business.<\/p>\n
Speaking as he collected the Chairman Award at the 2026 Palm Springs International Film Festival, he said: \u201cI sometimes think about it, [if] I didn\u2019t click that year and I did go work for my dad, what my life would be right now.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst off, I\u2019m thinking I\u2019d probably still be married to my wife, Jackie. That\u2019s destiny. Nothing stops that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe then quipped: \u201cBut we definitely [would] have a different house. Probably, like, 10 less bathrooms and [fewer] statues of me.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Wedding Singer star’s comments about his marriage come after he recently reflected that he’s “more thankful” than ever for his life and career and couldn’t be happier with where he is right now.<\/p>\n
\nHe told People magazine: \u201cI’m just more thankful than I’ve ever been. Happy I got to do this life, happy all the people who’ve been with me during all this stuff, and helped me out, and [it’s] just been a phenomenal time.<\/p>\n
\n“My whole family’s always been great to me. My wife and I talk about stuff, and what to do, and what to do next, and it’s just been a very cool life.”<\/p>\n
\nSandler gushed that he and Jackie are “close” than ever, despite the passage of time.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cWe’re very close. We like to talk, like to laugh, like to have fun, and like to think about things and take care of our kids.”<\/p>\n
