\t\t<\/p>\n Chelsea Handler<\/strong><\/a> shared a special tribute to the late Rob<\/strong><\/a> and Michele Reiner<\/strong><\/a> at the 2026 Critics\u2019 Choice Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/em> on Sunday (January 4). <\/p>\n The 50-year-old comedian and host of the annual awards show closed out her opening monologue remembering the late filmmaker and his wife, who were tragically murdered last month<\/a>. <\/p>\n After calling Adam Sandler<\/strong><\/a> the \u201cnicest guy in Hollywood,\u201d she took it back and said he was actually the second, behind Rob<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cActually, you\u2019re the second nicest guy in Hollywood, because everyone in this room knows that the nicest guy in Hollywood was Rob Reiner<\/strong>,\u201d Chelsea <\/strong>shared. \u201cAnyone who ever spent time with Rob Reiner<\/strong> knows that the minute you met him, he felt like an old friend. When you were in a conversation with him, he was present, he was focused and he was funny, and he would ask you tons of questions, whether you were discussing politics or film or the latest beauty trends \u2014 he was all in. After I sent him a text thanking him for dinner a few months ago, he texted me back and said, \u2018We had so much fun with you last night. Thanks for explaining so much about plastic surgery. It was very edifying.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cRob<\/strong> and Michele<\/strong> were tireless in their efforts to so many important causes, all stemming from one basic idea: decency and that we should all look out for each other,\u201d the host continued. \u201cI think we can all agree that we definitely need more of that.
