Whitney Port<\/a> is feeling “hopeful” about having another baby.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Whitney Port is hopeful she will have another child<\/p>\n
The 40-year-old star and her husband Tim Rosenman – who have eight-year-old son Sonny – are going through another surrogacy attempt and while it is an “exciting” journey to be on, the former Hills personality noted it is also an “exhausting” process because of all the “failures” they have experienced in the past.<\/p>\n
Speaking on her With Whit podcast, Whitney said: \u201cThe surrogacy journey is on a positive trajectory.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just signed our contract and are now awaiting next steps for a transfer, but it\u2019s hard to explain unless you\u2019re in it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s hopeful and it\u2019s exciting, but it\u2019s also tiring and exhausting, like, you have all the hope in the world and you want to spread all this positive energy, but you\u2019ve also had such failures that it\u2019s hard for you to imagine anything going right.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe couple turned to surrogacy after suffering multiple losses after having Sonny, and tragically some of their surrogates have also miscarried following embryo implantation and Whitney admitted she has conflicting emotions about their next attempt.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cSome days I feel fragile, other days I feel scared.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMost days I feel, like, \u2018Let\u2019s go, let\u2019s do this,\u2019 and most of the time, I feel all of it in the same hour.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhitney noted that “the legal portion\u201d of the process is complete after signing a contract with their new surrogate but she feels they only have a few attempts left.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cNow it becomes a little more of the science-y, nerve-wracking part.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019ll schedule a transfer in the next one to two months and just cross our fingers. We have three embryos left, and they\u2019re all boys.<\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019ve kind of told myself right now, \u2018If these three don\u2019t work, we\u2019re probably not going to continue to try.\u2019 “<\/p>\n
\nWhile the reality star wants to be positive, the “logical part” of herself is prepared for all potential outcomes.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I also don\u2019t want to be getting too ahead of myself or even visualising or thinking about the fact it\u2019s not going to work, like, that doesn\u2019t help the situation at all. I\u2019m a firm believer in manifesting and visualising something and throwing positive energy out on it….<\/p>\n
\n“[But] you have to have a plan and an idea in our head of when you will be ready for this journey to be over.’ <\/p>\n
\n\u201c[I think there will be] some sort of actual tangible thing that will happen that will put an end on this \u2018cause I think, so far, we\u2019ve just kind been going, going, going and just seeing how far we can take it [and] how much we can push these emotions.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI just don\u2019t know that I could go through another egg retrieval situation. My eggs, year after year, after just getting fried and fried and fried to go through that process, get 21 eggs and then be able to get one maybe-healthy embryo. Part of me wants that chapter to be put [to the side] when we go through all the different scenarios.\u201d<\/p>\n
