A man dressed as Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> wearing a Kermit the Frog mask was knocked out by someone dressed as Rocky Balboa, while another man holding a giant cannoli used it to attack someone else dressed as Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In other words, it was just another year at Philadelphia\u2019s Mummers Parade.<\/p>\n

Nearly a year after the Philadelphia Eagles blew out Mahomes, 30, and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, Eagles fans rubbed salt in the wound with a dramatic scene<\/a> amid the city\u2019s annual New Year\u2019s Day parade. It was only fitting that Rocky, the city\u2019s most famous fictional athlete, would be the one to deliver the decisive blow.<\/p>\n

Held since 1901, Philadelphia\u2019s Mummers Parade is the longest-running continuous folk parade in the United States. It features participants in elaborate costumes, acting out skits or routines for amused onlookers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPhiladelphia Eagles fans went hog wild at the team\u2019s raucous 2025 Super Bowl parade.\u00a0 A group of Eagles faithful roasted a pig at the Friday, February 14 celebration in downtown Philadelphia, which was carved with the No. 15 of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.\u00a0 The pig even wore a curly wig to replicate the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Kermit mask is a reference to a meme fans have popularized based on Mahomes\u2019 voice sounding like the popular muppet. The meme has sprouted up before in less forgiving settings, like in 2025 when Patrick\u2019s wife, Brittany Mahomes<\/strong>, shared a photo<\/a> of a Kermit the Frog doll wearing Patrick\u2019s jersey and hanging from a pole in Buffalo after the Chiefs defeated the Bills in the AFC Championship Game.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo we remember this Buffalo? Absolutely disgusting,\u201d she wrote over the photo via Instagram. \u201cSo as you go home tonight, I pray we become better people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The year before, Las Vegas Raiders safety Trey Taylor<\/strong>, was caught on video holding a Kermit doll and, imitating Patrick\u2019s voice, saying, \u201cI\u2019m a bitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick brushed the video off at the time, telling reporters he doesn\u2019t need to use that video as motivation.<\/p>\n

\u201cStuff like that happens. It\u2019ll get handled when it gets handled,\u201d he said. \u201cEverybody kind of just lets me play, I mean they know how I am. They don\u2019t need to send me anything to keep me motivated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eagles fans had extra reason to approach the 2026 parade with some pep in their step. Philadelphia is 11-5, champions of the NFC East, and will enter the playoffs with a real shot of winning back-to-back championships.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs, meanwhile, are shockingly out of playoff contention with a 6-10 record. Mahomes suffered a season-ending ACL injury<\/a> on December 14 and is hoping to return for the start of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
