This is no longer just a metaphor: It\u2019s the foundation of why this film is titled \u2018Corey Feldman vs. the World.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\u201cI somehow never imagined that he would so fully turn that same reflex on me: The exact same suspicion, flattening of nuance, and the insistence that anything complicated must be an attack. I should not feel shocked, but I somehow held hope that he would see the care that went into this film. Somehow, I always hold out hope for him.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI spent nearly a decade making this film, not just embedding on the Corey\u2019s Angels tour and living inside the chaos and vulnerability, but also building an extremely complicated portrait that is entertaining, difficult, and deeply human. It is an honest film about a complicated person moving through a world built for spectacle.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cOne moment caught a brief spark in media coverage. But the movie is bigger than a headline.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe are releasing a deleted scene now because we have to. Corey is publicly saying he does not know how we obtained the footage. This is a small, plain glimpse of the reality of filming with Corey and of the relationship that existed while making this film. That time was challenging but also often positive.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you have not seen the film, I can almost guarantee it is not what you are expecting. Even now, even with all the noise, I find him endlessly fascinating. I still have genuine care for him. Even if, for the moment, he seems to have forgotten that we decided together that I would make this documentary.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn the documentary, Corey said: “But you know, when you have got somebody that\u2019s trying to come onto you sexually, and you don\u2019t want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou do whatever you can to stop it from happening, and that\u2019s what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim. Truth be told.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, Feldman later claimed the documentary misrepresented his comments and said via his legal team that any claim Haim \u2018molested\u2019 him was \u201cin reference to Mr. Haim\u2019s advances, and not physical molestation\u201d.<\/p>\n
