Macaulay Culkin has revealed how he copes with fans<\/p>\n

The 45-year-old star first found fame as a child actor, and Macaulay has now revealed how he approaches his fan interactions.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood star – who has Dakota, four, and Carson, three, with fiance Brenda Song<\/a> – said on the SmartLess podcast: “I definitely have to gird myself \u2026 for, you know, outings and so forth. I just set certain ground rules for myself.<\/p>\n

“Don’t approach me when I’m at the dinner table. I don’t like that. You know? Don’t approach me when I’m with my kids. Definitely don’t follow me to the bathroom.”<\/p>\n

Macaulay insists that he’s actually “in charge of the interaction” with his fans.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “I just realised that I’m in charge of the social contract. I’m in charge of the interaction.”<\/p>\n

\nBy contrast, Macaulay struggled to cope with the pressures of fame and success during his younger years. <\/p>\n

\nThe Home Alone actor said: “It was a difficult, tricky waters to manoeuvre through and stuff like that because you don’t necessarily have the actual or emotional vocabulary to really kind of, you know, manoeuvre through those waters.<\/p>\n

\n“And I always kinda thought of myself as a peerless person. Like, I couldn’t turn left and right, like, know, like, and go, \u2018Oh, you’re like me.\u2019 … It was a, it was a very unique experience.”<\/p>\n

\nMacaulay began dating Brenda Song back in 2017, and he previously credited the actress for helping him to navigate the stresses and strains of fame.<\/p>\n

\nThe movie star – who was one of the most successful child actors of the 90s – told Brenda: “You\u2019re my champion, the only person happier for me today than I am. <\/p>\n

\n“You\u2019re not only the best woman I\u2019ve ever known, you\u2019re the best person I\u2019ve ever known. You\u2019ve given me all my purpose.”<\/p>\n

\nMacaulay is also glad that they’ve managed to keep their romance relatively low-key.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “That the public is like, \u2018Wait, they\u2019re together and they have kids?\u2019 Good. That means we did our job.”<\/p>\n
