Nick Reiner could face the death penalty if he\u2019s convicted of murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We now know that Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia<\/a> ahead of the murders, and it seems likely that he\u2019ll plead not guilty by reason of insanity.<\/p>\n

However, experts say that it would be \u201cvery difficult\u201d for Nick\u2019s lawyers to convince a jury that his mental illness absolves him of responsibility for his parents\u2019 deaths.<\/p>\n
