Sadie Sink keeps her personal life private<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old actress \u2013 who is best known for playing Max Mayfield in Stranger Things \u2013 was always \u201cresistant\u201d to opening up about herself when she was younger and now she\u2019s pleased she did so because she thinks it makes her performances more believable.<\/p>\n
She told Australia\u2019s ELLE magazine: \u201cWhen I was younger, I thought maybe I needed to be more open about who I was because there\u2019s so much public interest.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I was always resistant, and now I\u2019m really grateful because I\u2019d rather people see me as Max than Sadie. If I can leave myself out of it, then I\u2019ve done my job.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sadie only joined Stranger Things in season two and initially worried about fitting in with the established cast.<\/p>\n
\nAnd after recently looking back over some footage of that time, the actress felt \u201cso emotional\u201d because she realised how quickly they had bonded.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cMy mum and I were just talking about it yesterday; we were going on a trip down memory lane and she showed me one of my favourite videos.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe boys are all in their Ghostbusters costumes and I\u2019m in my Michael Myers [from Halloween] costume in the make-up trailer, and I think a Tears for Fears song is playing and we\u2019re all dancing together \u2014 that was my first day of filming. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI get so emotional watching that video because I remember feeling so nervous to be there, beyond being on a huge TV show but with a group of established friends who loved each other so much, worrying about Will I fit in?, and now I see that I did. It\u2019s such a precious video.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAlthough Stranger Things is about to come to an end, Sadie doesn\u2019t think she will ever properly \u201csay goodbye\u201d to her beloved alter ego.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cShe\u2019s such a huge part of me that I don\u2019t think I can shrug her off. I could never say goodbye to her. I don\u2019t need to play Max to know her.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSaying goodbye to the show and cast was the harder part.\u201d<\/p>\n
