\t\t<\/p>\n Kate Winslet<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her teenage experience. <\/p>\n The 50-year-old actress and director recently recalled her experience making the 1994 movie Heavenly Creatures<\/em>, where she and Melanie Lynskey<\/strong><\/a> play two teens with a dangerously obsessive friendship. <\/p>\n While appearing on the Team Deakins<\/a><\/em> podcast, Kate<\/strong> was asked how much of her own experiences she brought into that role and she revealed something she\u2019s never talked about before. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll share something I\u2019ve never shared before. Some of my first intimate experiences as a young teen were actually with girls,\u201d she revealed. \u201cI\u2019d kissed a few girls, and I\u2019d kissed a few boys, but I wasn\u2019t particularly evolved in either direction.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAt that stage in my life, I certainly was curious, and I think there was something about the really intense connection that those two women had that I profoundly understood,\u201d Kate<\/strong> continued. \u201cI was so immediately sucked into the vortex of that world they were in that obviously became horrendously damaging to both of them, and they had huge insecurities and vulnerabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate<\/strong> recently just released her directorial debut, Goodbye June<\/em>, which was written by her son Joe Anders<\/strong><\/a>.
