Burrow, 28, gifted his linemen with authentic Japanese Katana swords on Thursday, December 19.\u00a0 The Athletic\u2019s Paul Dehner Jr. reported each sword was unique and came with its own story. Burrow laid them all out in a room and had [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The order of selection was determined by seniority and when they arrived.<\/p>\n
Karras reportedly picked a woolly mammoth fossil (that archeologists estimated to be about 30,000 years old) while Bengals Orlando Brown Jr. <\/strong>and Amarius Mims<\/strong> took home bear skulls.<\/p>\nRookie Dylan Fairchild<\/strong> selected a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil.<\/p>\nBurrow\u2019s interest in fossils and artifacts was highlighted in season 2 of the Netflix series \u201cQuarterback,\u201d which debuted in 2024.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen aren\u2019t fossils on your mind?\u201d Burrow said in the episode. \u201cThey go back millions of years. That\u2019s sick.\u201d<\/p>\n
The episode shows Burrow and some teammates going to the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.
