Six influencers recently announced that they are leaving esports group FaZe Clan following unsuccessful contract negotiations with new management.<\/p>\n
Bloomberg reports<\/a> that influencers known as Adapt, Jason, Ronaldo, Lacy, Rage, and Silky \u2014 the entire roster<\/a> on the FaZe Clan website \u2014 all announced that they are leaving the group.\u00a0<\/p>\n Adapt wrote on X<\/a> that he\u2019d spent 14 years as part of FaZe Clan: \u201cOver half of my life, I\u2019d be lying if I said this didn\u2019t hurt, but it had to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n Another FaZe Clan member who left in August had described the situation as one where the influencers felt they had \u201cno control, and it\u2019s like we\u2019re puppets.\u201d<\/p>\n The influencers had reportedly been negotiating with Faze Clan investor HardScope and its CEO Matt Kalish for the past half year. Kalish plans to continue the group without the departed influencers.<\/p>\n \u201cMy best guess is they\u2019re all good kids and have a lot of people in their ear and are confused,\u201d he told Bloomberg. He also claimed that the group\u2019s current financial structure is \u201cunsustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n FaZe Clan went public in 2022, but the company was acquired by GameSquare for $17 million the following year, and its CEO was fired<\/a>.<\/p>\n
