The new parents shared that Romy arrived on December 23 following an unexpected emergency C-section.<\/p>\n<p>JoJo announced the news <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DStFpgdDS-4\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on Instagram<\/a> on December 25, posting a photo of Jordan asleep beside their newborn. She wrote, \u201cMerry Christmas to us \ud83e\udd79\u2764\ufe0f What a whirlwind these last couple of days have been but in the most magical way. Went in for our weekly sonogram this past Tuesday and found out we needed to deliver via emergency c section that day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cAt 5:37pm on Dec 23 \u2013 we met our girl. Romy Blair Rodgers you are our whole world. At the time, they revealed Romy was their rainbow baby, writing, \u201cWe love you so much already, our sweet rainbow baby. \ud83c\udf08\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0fBaby Rodgers coming January 2026 \ud83e\udd0d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leading up to Romy\u2019s arrival, JoJo shared that trying to conceive hadn\u2019t been easy. In a November interview with <em>People<\/em>, she explained, \u201cOur pregnancy journey has definitely been a mix of emotions. It wasn\u2019t as easy as we had hoped to conceive, and that journey came with its hard moments\u2014times that left me feeling really discouraged and uncertain. So when we finally got the news, it truly was the greatest blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>JoJo and Jordan always planned to start a family but pushed their timeline back after postponing their wedding twice due to the pandemic. \u201cWe were supposed to get married in 2020 and then we were going to wait a year or two before having kids,\u201d JoJo previously told PEOPLE. She added, \u201cNow that we\u2019ve had the couple of years, I think the conversation of starting to plan our family is at the forefront of our lives.
