A haunting moment. Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> compared his heartbreaking fallout with late brother Curtis Radke to his season 7 Summer House<\/em><\/a> drama with Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSeason 1 of Summer House<\/em> \u2026 I was drinking and partying. I was all over the place,\u201d Carl, 38, recalled during part 2 of the season 7 Summer House<\/em> reunion<\/a>, which aired on Monday, June 5. \u201cI used to show up to interviews drunk, like, in the studio during the week.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Loverboy vice president of sales<\/a> remembered one confessional in which he candidly discussed his siblings\u2019 ups and downs with drugs. (Curtis died in August 2020 after a lifelong battle with mental illness and addiction, which was captured on camera during season 5 of the Bravo series.)<\/p>\n \u201cIn the chair, I spoke about my brother\u2019s heroin addiction. It wasn\u2019t my place. He watched the show, like, \u2018All excited to see my brother on TV,\u2019 and [in reality] he watches the show and it\u2019s me railing into him about his addiction,\u201d Carl told his castmates. \u201cIt really was damaging and really hurt our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pennsylvania native<\/a> confessed: \u201cI harbored a lot of anger toward him because I couldn\u2019t come to grips that I also had issues and I was blaming him. But I was the one on TV, like, trying to glorify being this party boy<\/a>. And it f\u2014ked me up.\u201d<\/p>\n Carl further explained that he and Curtis \u201cdidn\u2019t talk\u201d after the incident and that silence between them continued until his passing. \u201cI never got the chance to say anything,\u201d he added while holding back tears.<\/p>\n The businessman, who has been sober since January 2021<\/a>, then turned his attention to longtime BFF Kyle, 40, whom he was at odds with while filming season 7 in summer 2022. During the season, fans watched as the Loverboy CEO drunkenly told his housemates that Carl once showed up to work \u201ccoked out\u201d<\/a> and proceeded to air his frustrations over their work relationship.<\/p>\n The twosome have since started to make amends \u2014 and Carl no longer works for Loverboy<\/a> \u2014 but he was still upset by Kyle\u2019s season 7 vent session.<\/p>\n \u201cI showed up to work coked up and forgot my laptop. I wish I had the opportunity to say that and not you,\u201d Carl said during Monday\u2019s episode. \u201cBut I am incredibly ashamed and embarrassed about my past. For my addiction to be brought up so publicly, it really hurt when you said that<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Kyle quickly apologized again for his actions, saying, \u201cI felt like the dirtiest guy in the world. I am so ashamed, and I am so embarrassed, and I just knew that it was going to be a knife to the heart.\u201d<\/p>\n The Trinity College alum added: \u201cThis guy is my best friend<\/a> and I can\u2019t grasp what he\u2019s had to go through and for me to just rip that Band-Aid off a year later \u2014 I\u2019ve never felt more ashamed and more sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n An emotional Kyle wiped away tears before commending his friend for how far he\u2019s come since they met in 2016. \u201cTo be honest, it was one of those moments where I just realized what you\u2019ve gone through and how much you\u2019ve done to change course and become not even a better man, you\u2019re a new man,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the episode, Kyle confessed that his harsh comments about Carl\u2019s past addiction felt like a \u201crole reversal\u201d for the salesman<\/a>, who had once attacked his brother\u2019s character on TV.<\/p>\n \u201cWith Kyle, who\u2019s my f\u2014king brother and my friend, I\u2019m not going to harbor that anger and hate,\u201d Carl concluded before hugging his pal. \u201cLike I said, this guy\u2019s done a lot for me. We\u2019ve been through so much together. Dude, I appreciate you man.
