20px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1222_barrymanilow_ig_01.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">On Instagram, Barry Manilow revealed his cancer diagnosis on December 22, 2025.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Image Credit: Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed,\u201d Manilow revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early,\u201d he acknowledged.<\/p>\n<p>Manilow then affirmed: \u201cThat\u2019s the good news.\u201d Unfortunately, that is not the end of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bad news is that now that the Christmas A Gift Of Love concerts are over,\u201d he continued, \u201cI\u2019m going into surgery to have the spot removed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Manilow shared further good news: \u201cThe doctors do not believe it was spread and I\u2019m taking tests to confirm their diagnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DSkevRHFPfU\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - No radiation. Just chicken soup and <em>I Love Lucy<\/em> reruns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was a kid when <em>I Love Lucy<\/em> first premiered.
