Pittsburgh Steelers player DK Metcalf<\/strong> appeared to have an altercation with a fan in the stands during the Detroit Lions game.<\/p>\n

During the Sunday, December 21, matchup, Metcalf, 28, was seen interacting with a Lions fan who was leaning over the stadium seats. Metcalf then appeared to take a swing at the fan, who was wearing a black-and-blue shirt and a blue wig. The wide receiver did not appear to make physical contact with the fan, and the fan did not act or appear harmed.<\/p>\n

Footage of the moment was shared via the NFL on CBS\u2019 official X<\/a> account, with the caption, \u201cDK Metcalf appears to have an altercation with a Detroit fan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metcalf was not ejected from the game, nor was there a flag or any game-time penalty. Gene Steratore<\/strong>, a CBS rules analyst, explained that the interaction could not have been penalized because it occurred off the field and officials did not see it.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDK Metcalf revealed that he and Normani are engaged during his first press conference for the Pittsburgh Steelers. \u201cI proposed to my fianc\u00e9e and [former teammate Russell Wilson] was the one who connected us,\u201d the wide receiver, 27, said during the Thursday, March 13, press conference when asked if Wilson had given him advice about [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBecause the officials did not see this \u2014 and (you) wouldn\u2019t expect them to from where DK Metcalf was, it\u2019s not something they can weigh in to from an officiating standpoint. I have been notified, though, that [it] will be delivered to compliance with the NFL, and they\u2019ll address it at that point,\u201d Steratore said, per CBS<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matt Ryan<\/strong>, a former quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, weighed in on the interaction during halftime. \u201cSuspension, we all agree, is probably coming,\u201d Ryan said.<\/p>\n

Nate Burleson<\/strong>, former Seattle Seahawk, Lions and Minnesota Viking, added, \u201cThere\u2019s stuff that people, fans, can say to you that will get you out of character, but DK come on, man. I don\u2019t know the details but you cannot let someone get into your head to the point that you wanna go over there, talk to them, grab them, and then what looks like he threw a jab.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Detroit Free Press<\/em> found the fan, and asked what they said to Metcalf and what their name was. (The fan was reportedly ejected from the stadium after the incident.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNFL wide receiver DK Metcalf was all-in on Normani before they even met. \u201cMe and Ciara are really close, and Russell [Wilson, her husband] and DK were teammates on the Seattle Seahawks,\u201d Normani, 28, recalled to Vogue in an interview published on Friday, March 14. \u201cAbout two years prior to us even meeting, they were [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhat, my full name isn\u2019t is DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf,\u201d the fan said. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t like his government name. I called him that and then he grabbed me and ripped my shirt. I\u2019m a little shocked. Like everyone\u2019s talking to me. I\u2019m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metcalf was selected by the Seahawks in the 2019 Draft. He was acquired by the Steelers<\/a> in March, the same month that news broke of his engagement to Normani<\/strong>. (Metcalf and Normani, 29, began dating in 2022 after being set up by former teammate Russell Wilson<\/strong> and wife Ciara<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n
