The upcoming new Jumanji<\/strong><\/a><\/em> movie will feature a little nod to the late Robin Williams<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n The actor starred in the original 1995 movie, which was based on the 1981 children\u2019s picture book by Chris Van Allsburg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A fourth movie is in the works, with Dwayne Johnson<\/strong><\/a>, Jack Black<\/strong><\/a>, Karen Gillan<\/strong><\/a> and Kevin Hart<\/strong><\/a> all reprising their roles, and they found a way to pay tribute to Robin<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n During a recent interview, Dwayne<\/strong> revealed a subtle way of being able to pay tribute to the late star in the upcoming movie. <\/p>\n \u201cIt was my idea to honor him in some way, and I didn\u2019t know how to do it,\u201d he told People<\/a> <\/em>on Wednesday (December 17). \u201cAnd our costume designer, L.J. [Laura Jean Shannon]<\/strong> \u2026 goes, \u2018What if I got the original dice [from the first movie]?\u2019 And that\u2019s what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n In the upcoming movie, Dwayne<\/strong> will be seen wearing the dice on a necklace around his neck, as shared in a November Instagram <\/a>post. \u201cThis one\u2019s for you, Robin \ud83c\udfb2\ud83e\udd0e\ud83e\udd43,\u201d he wrote in the caption as they started production.<\/p>\n You can also see the necklace in set photos from that month<\/a>!<\/p>\n On the 30th anniversary of the first Jumanji<\/em> movie, Dwayne<\/strong> shared a video message to honor the movie and Robin<\/strong> while on set.<\/p>\n \u201c30 years ago today, the great Robin Williams introduced the world to JUMANJI \ud83d\udcab,\u201d he shared in the caption. \u201cAs we are deep in production of our last and final, JUMANJI ~ today was a very cool and special day on set, as we honored Robin and the OG cast and filmmakers for paving the way so we can have the honor of carrying on the JUMANJI tradition.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs my personal nod of respect to Robin, my character wears the game\u2019s original dice around his neck, for his one last adventure,\u201d he added. \u201cThis one\u2019s for you Robin \ud83c\udfb2\ud83e\udd0e\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f JUMANJI Christmas 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n If you missed it, find out who all will return<\/a> for the new movie and who\u2019s joining the cast! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
