The newest addition to the royal family is here! Princess Eugenie<\/strong><\/a> and Jack Brooksbank<\/strong><\/a> welcomed their second child on Tuesday, May 30.<\/p>\n \u201cJack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs,\u201d the princess, 33, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, June 5. \u201cHe is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald.\u201d<\/p>\n Eugenie added that her and Brooksbank\u2019s first child, 2-year-old August, \u201cis loving being a big brother already.\u201d In one of the snaps shared by his mom, the toddler gently patted his new sibling\u2019s head while he napped.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Brooksbank, 37, and Eugenie announced in January<\/a> that they were expecting their second child.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,\u201d the Hauser & Wirth art director wrote via Instagram at the time. Brooksbank was credited for capturing the photo showing Eugenie with August kissing her stomach.<\/p>\n Eugenie\u2019s mother, Sarah Ferguson<\/strong><\/a>, celebrated by sharing a photo of August in a yellow rain jacket stepping through a puddle. \u201cYou will be sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven,\u201d Ferguson wrote via Instagram.<\/p>\n The duo met in 2010 at a ski resort in Switzerland and announced their engagement<\/a> in January 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cThe lake was so beautiful,\u201d Eugenie recalled about their Nicaragua trip in an interview uploaded to the royal family YouTube channel the day after their announcement. \u201cI actually said \u2018this is an incredible moment\u2019 and then he popped the question.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple were featured in another interview video just before their wedding<\/a> in October 2018. \u201cIt was love at first sight,\u201d Eugenie stated when asked about their first meeting.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw you first,\u201d the brand ambassador chimed in to his now-wife. \u201cThen we just stared at each other.\u201d<\/p>\n The pair exchanged vows at St George\u2019s Chapel in Windsor and later welcomed son August<\/a> in February 2021.<\/p>\n \u201cWe wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank,\u201d the new mother shared via Instagram at the time. \u201cHe is named after his great grandfather<\/a> and both of his great x5 grandfathers.\u201d<\/p>\n Buckingham Palace released a statement following August\u2019s birth noting that grandparents, Ferguson, 63, and Prince Andrew<\/strong><\/a>, were \u201cdelighted with the news.\u201d<\/p>\n Ferguson also took to Twitter for a personal statement. \u201cThe Duke and I are thrilled and blessed at the arrival of our grandson,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI am so proud of Jack and Eugenie, they are and will be wonderful parents.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in 2021, Eugenie\u2019s older sister Princess Beatrice<\/strong><\/a> also gave birth to her first child, daughter Sienna Elizabeth.
