The trailer for <\/span>Tell Me Lies<\/span><\/i> season 3 just dropped, and things are already explosive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Season 2 of the show ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger: Stephen (<\/span>Jackson White<\/b>) sent Bree (<\/span>Catherine Missal<\/b>) a recording of Evan (<\/span>Branden Cook<\/b>) confessing that he hooked up with Lucy in college on the very day of their wedding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In <\/span>the new trailer<\/span><\/a> that was posted on December 17, Lucy warns Stephen, \u201cHe\u2019s going to hold this over us forever,\u201d possibly referring to Evan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grace Van Patten\u2019s<\/b> Lucy and Stephen appear ready to try again, but Lucy cautions, \u201cWe have to be nice to each other this time.\u201d Stephen fires back, \u201cI want to hurt you and I don\u2019t know how else to do it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with. Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen\u2019s friends to face their own destructive behaviors. As scandalous secrets fester around campus, vicious consequences threaten Lucy and everyone in her circle,\u201d the description reads.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the second season\u2019s finale, the show\u2019s writer <\/span>Meaghan Oppenheimer<\/b> said, \u201cI initially didn\u2019t think he was going to play the recording at the wedding. I rewrote the ending very last minute because the blow-up had to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat need for revenge carries into season three. Stephen is able to control his anger and use it to his advantage; he\u2019s rarely explosive or impulsive. Lucy and Stephen still have a cat-and-mouse game with each other,\u201d she continued.<\/span><\/p>\n
