Elsie Hewitt and Pete Davidson have become parents for the first time<\/p>\n
The 32-year-old comedian and Elsie, 29, recently announced the birth of their daughter Scottie Rose – but Elsie’s early experience of parenthood was complicated by having to have her wisdom tooth extracted just one day after giving birth.<\/p>\n
A source told People: “Elsie is doing really well now and feeling so much better since having the tooth taken care of.<\/p>\n
“It was an unexpected hiccup right after the delivery, but she handled it like a champ and has been focused on resting and soaking in these first moments with the baby.”<\/p>\n
The loved-up couple are now embracing the challenge of caring for their daughter.<\/p>\n
\nThe insider explained: “Being home has been really special for them.<\/p>\n
\n“They’re settling into a rhythm, taking everything day by day and just enjoying getting to know their daughter. It’s been a lot of firsts, but it’s a really happy, exciting time for both of them.”<\/p>\n
\nPete and Elsie are supporting each other through the challenges of parenthood.<\/p>\n
\nThe source shared: “They’ve very much in it together. They’ve both learning as they go, supporting each other and feeling grateful as they step into this new chapter as parents.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Pete previously revealed that he’s found the focus on his personal life to be “traumatic”.<\/p>\n
\nThe comedian has dated a host of famous women, including Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley, and Phoebe Dynevor, but Pete felt frustrated that people often knew him for his high-profile love life, rather than his comedy talent.<\/p>\n
\nHe said on The Breakfast Club: “It just got to a point where I was … I got really tired of my whole career just being like my personal life. And living through that is it’s sort of traumatic. Like not to be like lame, but like it’s traumatic to live in your own crap all the time.”<\/p>\n
\nPete also hated the experience of being sexualised by the public.<\/p>\n
\nThe comedy star explained: “I don\u2019t want to victimise myself in any way because I\u2019m cool, but the sexualisation of me \u2014 if that was a girl, people would be like, there would be a march for it … Seriously. You’re just talking about my d*** all day.”<\/p>\n
