The memories behind the miles! Jordana Brewster has been part of the Fast and Furious<\/em> franchise<\/a> since the first film premiered in 2001, but there\u2019s one moment that still stands out in her mind.<\/p>\n \u201cI split my hand open jumping from roof to roof in Puerto Rico,\u201d the Fast X<\/em> actress, 43, exclusively recalls in the new issue of Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI was like, \u2018I can keep going\u2019 because I wanted to have bravado in front of Paul [Walker]<\/strong><\/a>. He was like, \u2018Yeah, you\u2019re being tough! I\u2019m so proud of you!\u2019 When we wrapped, I went to get stitches. I consider that my badge of honor.\u201d<\/p>\n Brewster plays Mia Toretto \u2014 sister of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel<\/strong><\/a>) and wife of Brian O\u2019Conner (Walker) \u2014 in the action franchise, which returned to theaters last month with the release of Fast X<\/em><\/a>. After Walker\u2019s death at age 40 in a 2013 car accident, Diesel, 55, and the Fast and Furious<\/em> production team decided to keep his character alive in the films by having Brian \u201cretire\u201d from the world of high-speed heists.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m always thinking about him. He\u2019s always right here [in my heart],\u201d Brewster tells Us<\/em> of Walker. \u201cHis death was so impactful because people understood on a very primal cellular level what a wonderful good soul he was.\u201d<\/p>\n The newest film honored the late actor with a cameo from his daughter<\/a>, Meadow Walker<\/strong><\/a>, who was 15 when her father died. Now 24, the model \u2014 whose mother is Rebecca Soteros<\/strong> \u2014 appeared as a flight attendant who hands Jakob Toretto (John Cena<\/strong><\/a>) a few bottles of alcohol.<\/p>\n \u201cHer cameo is a small reflection of what a huge part Meadow is in all of our lives,\u201d Brewster tells Us<\/em>. \u201cShe has a lot of traits that are very similar to Paul. I\u2019m very, very proud of her.<\/p>\n When Meadow wed Louis Thornton-Allan<\/strong> in October 2021, Brewster was in attendance along with Diesel<\/a>, who walked her down the aisle<\/a>. After the festivities, the Faculty<\/em> actress shared a video from the wedding via Instagram, writing, \u201cI\u2019m so happy for you beauty.\u201d In the comments section, Meadow replied, \u201cI love you.\u201d<\/p>\n
