Derek Hough<\/strong><\/a> is already having very specific feelings about his unborn baby \u2014 and it\u2019s hilarious.<\/p>\n The Dancing With the Stars<\/em> judge, 40, and his wife Hayley Erbert<\/strong><\/a>, 31, recently shared a video on Instagram<\/a> capturing one of those parent-to-be moments everyone knows too well.<\/p>\n In the clip, Hayley tells Derek that the baby is moving. Derek eagerly reaches for her bump\u2026 and cut to a raccoon barely twitching. The caption reads, \u201cEvery single time \ud83e\udd23,\u201d but what had fans cracking was Derek\u2019s comment: \u201cI take great offense.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple first revealed they were expecting their first child in July 2025 with an Instagram video. Derek and Hayley, who married in August 2023, shared a sunny outdoor clip of the two embracing as Hayley flashed a strip of sonogram photos. Their caption read: \u201cWe can\u2019t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small \u2665\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, just months later, Hayley is due any day \u2014 and she\u2019s been sharing the wisdom (and laughs) she and Derek are collecting along the way. \u201cThe best piece of advice that I\u2019ve gotten is not to listen to anybody\u2019s advice,\u201d Hayley told E! News. \u201cBecause you will get so many people trying to give advice and then you\u2019re just gonna be like, that doesn\u2019t work for my child.\u201d<\/p>\n There is one piece of advice they\u2019re actually taking to heart. After a friend shared a moving story, Derek will have the honor of being the first to hold their baby. \u201cThe best piece of advice that Derek got was, if he\u2019s able to and he\u2019s willing, \u2018Catch the baby,\u2019\u201d Hayley explained. \u201cTo be the first hands to catch your baby earth-side is the most special thing ever. And he would be the hands that bring the baby to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Family excitement is at an all-time high. Derek\u2019s sister, Julianne Hough<\/strong>, 38, told People<\/em><\/a>, \u201cHayley and Derek are such a beautiful match. They are the perfect combination of creativity and strength and they give so much love to each other and the people in their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n She\u2019s especially thrilled to become an aunt again.<\/p>\n \u201cMy sisters all have kids, and being an aunt is one of my favorite roles. I became an aunt for the first time at eleven years old, so this time around it\u2019ll be such a treat as an adult.
