Amanda Seyfried<\/a> “just clicked” while working on The Housemaid.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Sydney Sweeney has heaped praise on her co-star<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old actress stars alongside Amanda, 40, in the new psychological thriller film, which is based on the 2022 novel of the same name by Freida McFadden, and Sydney has revealed that she loved the experience of working with her co-star.<\/p>\n
The blonde beauty – who has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years – told Extra: “It’s so much fun. <\/p>\n
“It’s been such a delight being able to just even promote it with Amanda. We have such a great time together, and being able to share this love for this film with all of the book lovers and people who are excited to see this has been just incredibly unique, and I’m really excited for people to see it.”<\/p>\n
Sydney admired Amanda for years before they actually worked together.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I was having a dream-come-true experience. I grew up loving Amanda. Of course, I love Mamma Mia, and we just clicked.<\/p>\n
\n“We have very similar processes when we work. We love the same things. We have very similar personalities. So, it’s kind of like meeting your big sister. I almost was like, \u2018Are we separated at birth? I really I feel like I’m connected to you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Sydney recently described herself as a “huge book reader”.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress was particularly passionate about making The Housemaid because she’d previously read the book.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Entertainment Tonight: “I\u2019m a huge book reader and so there were a couple different drafts, and I was like, \u2018Wait, wait, wait, where\u2019s this? Where\u2019s that? We have to keep this. We can\u2019t change that.’ I\u2019m very much for the book fans.”<\/p>\n
\nSydney also explained her character’s understated look in the movie.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress said: “That was actually one of my biggest things with the costume department. <\/p>\n
\n“I did not want every single outfit, every single day to be different.<\/p>\n
\n“She has her staple pair of jeans, one jacket, she picked up stuff from the thrift store. She\u2019s not going shopping and buying all these new products and pieces.”<\/p>\n
