Taylor Swift<\/b> may be one of the world\u2019s biggest musicians in the eyes of the public, but when she\u2019s spending time at home, she just wants to cozy up on the couch like everyone else.<\/span><\/p>\n In a new interview on <\/span>The Late Show with <\/span><\/i>Stephen Colbert<\/i><\/b>, Swift shared the key ways she makes sure her home is a relaxing environment.<\/span><\/p>\n Number one is separating her home life from her work as a musician.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think that at home, I don\u2019t want any paraphernalia,\u201d Swift explained. \u201cI don\u2019t want any, like, plaques or like, I don\u2019t want a studio. I don\u2019t want there to be any evidence that, like, a music person lives here except for, like, my piano and, like, a guitar, but the guitar is not, like, hung in a prominent place.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For Swift, studio time is sacred, as is her time spent away from the limelight of her life.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI like it to feel very cozy at home and, like, if I\u2019m gonna go to the studio, I go to the studio and it\u2019s like \u2018special day today, I get to go to the studio,\u2019\u201d she continued in <\/span>the interview<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Another thing that Swift says helps her feel relaxed at home is knowing that she can deeply trust all of her friends and family that spend time with her there.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy close friends and the people in my life and my family are all just so locked down in terms of like, I can tell them anything and it never ends up in the press. It never does, and it\u2019s really nice,\u201d she shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When Swift is on tour, she also creates her own home-away-from-home in her hotel rooms to help her decompress from her high-energy shows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She shared with Colbert that her <\/span>post-show routine<\/span><\/a> includes a bath, lots of room service, and signing CDs.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c[I] get out of the costume, into the bath, immediately into the bath, mermaid time. And then I get, like, the most amount of room service possible,\u201d she said of her tour routine.<\/span><\/p>\n Swift then shared that she likes to listen to shows like <\/span>Dateline<\/span><\/i> in the background and also frequently listens to audiobooks.<\/span><\/p>\n To add to the cozy vibes, Swift also brings <\/span>her cats<\/span><\/a> on tour with her around the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is my youngest, his name is Benjamin Button, and he\u2019s really, really attached to my pillow, wherever that may be, in whatever country that is,\u201d Swift said, referencing a picture of him that Colbert held up. \u201cThey travel with me everywhere.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
