Romy Reiner<\/b> shared glimpses of a fun-filled family vacation on Instagram just two weeks ago, posting photos on <\/span>November 29<\/span><\/a> and December 1. The carousel of images and videos showed Reiner, 28, swimming in the ocean with her parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the caption of her <\/span>December 1 post<\/span><\/a>, she wrote, \u201cThankful for family, health, and followers of any age. Not thankful for the president and the state of our country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tragically, both Rob and Michele were <\/span>found dead<\/span><\/a> inside their Los Angeles home on December 14.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calls to the Los Angeles Fire Department came in at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14. First responders arriving at the residence discovered the victims, who were later identified as Rob and Michele Reiner.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Los Angeles Sheriff\u2019s Department records, their son, 32-year-old <\/span>Nick Reiner<\/b>, was taken into custody on Monday and booked for murder. <\/span>The suspect was found and arrested around 9:15 p.m., police said<\/span><\/p>\n

.<\/span>A <\/span>news release<\/span><\/a> from police stated that Nick Reiner is now considered a suspect in the deaths of his parents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reiner is currently being held without bail, according to police. <\/span>Jail records<\/span><\/a> have previously said he was being held on $4 million bail.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rob Reiner, 78, was a towering figure in Hollywood, first as a star of the landmark sitcom <\/span>All in the Family<\/span><\/i> and later as the director of classic films including <\/span>This Is Spinal Tap<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Stand by Me<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The Princess Bride<\/span><\/i>, and the beloved <\/span>When Harry Met Sally.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Oscar-winning actress <\/span>Kathy Bates<\/b>, who starred in Reiner\u2019s <\/span>Misery<\/span><\/i>, described him as \u201cbrilliant and kind, a man who made films of every genre to challenge himself as an artist.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI\u2019m horrified hearing this terrible news. Absolutely devastated. I loved Rob.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Author <\/span>Stephen King<\/b>, whose novels inspired <\/span>Stand by Me<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Misery<\/span><\/i>, remembered Reiner as a \u201cwonderful friend, political ally, and brilliant filmmaker.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

King posted on X, \u201cYou always stood by me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor and director <\/span>Ben Stiller<\/b> also paid tribute on X, calling Reiner \u201cone of my favorite directors\u201d and reflecting on his wide-ranging career.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe made some of the most formative movies for my generation,\u201d Stiller wrote. \u201cHe came out from behind a huge comedic shadow of the great Carl Reiner and went from TV actor to a great director with an incredible run of films. <\/span>Spinal Tap<\/span><\/i> is one of the best comedies ever made \u2014 and the list goes on. He was a kind, caring person who was really, really funny.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
