Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> publicly addressed the injury<\/a> he suffered during the Chiefs\u2019 clash against the Los Angeles Chargers.<\/p>\n

Patrick, 30, took to X<\/a> after the game on Sunday, December 14, to reflect on the gruesome leg injury that left him limping off the field late in the Chargers\u2019 face-off against Kansas City. The Chargers beat the Chiefs 16-13, resulting in the Chiefs\u2019 elimination from the NFL playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it\u2019s [sic] hurts. But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again,\u201d the quarterback shared. \u201cThank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick, who has suffered an ongoing knee issue for the past several weeks, did not return to the game, finishing with 189 yards passing, one interception and one run for a touchdown.<\/p>\n
