The woman involved in the Sherrone Moore<\/strong><\/a> scandal at the University of Michigan still has her job in the athletic department.<\/p>\n

According to a report from TMZ Sports<\/em><\/a> on Friday, December 12, the school told the outlet that the football staff member in question is still employed in the same role.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no change in her employment status,\u201d the school said, per the outlet.<\/p>\n

Moore, 39, was fired from his role as head coach<\/a> of the football team on Wednesday, December 10, after an alleged relationship with the staff member came to light.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe University of Michigan has named Francis \u201cBiff\u201d Poggi as interim head football coach after Sherrone Moore\u2019s firing and subsequent arrest. Michigan announced in December 2025 that Moore was fired as coach after an investigation found him having an \u201cinappropriate relationship with a staff member.\u201d After news broke of his firing, Moore was arrested. \u201cU-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately,\u201d athletic director Warde Manuel<\/strong> announced Wednesday in a statement. \u201cFollowing a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Moore was informed of the decision, he allegedly \u201cbarged his way\u201d into the apartment of the woman involved, threatening to kill himself<\/a> in front of her with a butter knife and scissors.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Moore] immediately then proceeded to a kitchen drawer, grabbed several butter knives and a pair of kitchen scissors and began to threaten his own life,\u201d said Kati Rezmierski<\/strong>, first assistant prosecutor for Washtenaw County, during an arraignment hearing on Friday, December 12.<\/p>\n

Moore allegedly told the woman, \u201cI\u2019m going to kill myself. I\u2019m going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands. You ruined my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the hearing, Rezmierski claimed Moore continued with additional \u201cthreatening, intimidating, terrifying\u201d<\/a> statements, when the woman eventually told Moore she was going to call the police.<\/p>\n

Moore then fled the apartment and was arrested shortly after<\/a> at a local church.<\/p>\n

According to a 911 dispatch obtained by TMZ Sports<\/em>, the woman claimed that Moore had been \u201cstalking her for months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Authorities arrived on the scene around 4:10 p.m. \u201cfor the purposes of investigating an alleged assault\u201d and took an individual into custody, according to the Pittsfield Police Department. The Detroit News later confirmed Moore was the person arrested.<\/p>\n

He was booked at Washtenaw County Jail at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Moore was charged with one count of third-degree felony home invasion, one count misdemeanor stalking related to a domestic relationship and one count misdemeanor breaking and entering.<\/p>\n

A judge granted him a $25,000 cash surety bond under the condition he not contact the victim and that he wear a GPS tether. A probable cause conference is set for January 22.<\/p>\n

Rezmierski continued, claiming Moore and the woman had been in a relationship for years, and that the woman broke things off on Monday.<\/p>\n

In a separate 911 call, Moore\u2019s wife, Kelli<\/strong>, told dispatchers that her husband was \u201csuicidal\u201d about losing his job, according to the audio obtained by TMZ Sports<\/em> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Former Michigan football coach and current Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh<\/strong> addressed the incident<\/a> during media availability on Friday, December, 12.<\/p>\n
