Actor Patrick John Flueger<\/strong><\/a> took an unexpected leave of absence<\/a> from the show for personal reasons not long after the 13th season premiered, causing some episodes to be rewritten.<\/p>\n

Then on December 10, his co-star Marina Squerciati<\/strong><\/a>\u2014Det. Kim Burgess\u2014posted an Instagram photo of an on-set celebration for Patrick<\/strong>\u2018s birthday. <\/p>\n

Otherwise, Patrick<\/strong> has mostly been out of the public eye since announcing his temporary departure, but if he was on set for his birthday, that\u2019s a good sign that he\u2019ll be back on the show sooner than later!<\/p>\n

He and his wife Reema Amara<\/strong> were spotted spending a night out at the opera with Marina<\/strong> at the end of November.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
