It\u2019s a cohesive split. They\u2019ve just been finalizing a few things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pair have been married since February 2018 after first being romantically linked in 2017. They share son Gene, whom they welcomed in May 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way that my now-husband proposed was so worthless,\u201d Schumer joked during her Saturday Night Live monologue in May 2018. \u201cIt was a dumb proposal. It was the morning. I was asleep. He threw the box at me and said, \u2018I got you this.\u2019 But that\u2019s a realistic proposal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of her husband being diagnosed with Autism, Schumer told followers in 2019:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy husband is my favorite person I\u2019ve ever met. He\u2019s kind, hilarious, interesting and talented and I admire him.
