Tate McRae has “no ragrets” collaborating with Morgan Wallen on her only dusty no. 1 hit, “What I Want.”<\/p>\n
During an interview with Rolling Stone<\/i>, Ms. Alberta finally spoke about the backlash saying, \u201cHonestly, country music is huge where I\u2019m from,\u201d she says. \u201cMy brother\u2019s always been a rabid country-music fan. I\u2019ve always wanted, at some point in my life, to do folk music or country, and I probably still will in the future. But I honestly just got the opportunity to do a country song, and I was like, \u2018Oh, this is cool.\u2019 And I wanted to cross genres really bad. It was just about the song for me. I didn\u2019t realize how much a song would be connected to all the other factors, and it really shocked me.\u201d<\/p>\n
McRae stresses that she never met Wallen in person, but she doesn\u2019t regret their duet. \u201cI don\u2019t think you should regret anything in life, because it gives you so much clarity,\u201d she says. \u201cI think controversy and criticism is a way of learning and figuring out what you want to move forward with, and how that shapes you as a person. I think it\u2019s all important.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mom is so witchy. She said the week before, \u2018I feel like Taylor Swift is in your ether right now.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018What? That\u2019s so random.\u2019 I\u2019m such a massive fan, and I adore her. So when I pulled up my phone and saw that she had talked about it [Tit For Tat], it was one of the coolest moments ever. She is such an inspiration for me as a writer and, obviously, as a woman in the industry. For her to acknowledge that was really special.\u201d<\/p>\n On Munnifesting:<\/b> \u201cI believe in manifesting so hard. I believe your physical field can change at any second if you change your vibration towards it. And I believe everything happens for a reason. Everyone has a fate and a life that is already painted out for them, and if you want something, it\u2019s already there.
