Hudson Williams<\/strong><\/a>, who portrays Shane Hollander, has left viewers wondering if the actors share a romance off-screen as well.<\/p>\nThe Canadian show, based on Rachel Reid<\/strong>\u2019s novel of the same name, follows Rozanov, a Russian-American player for the Boston Raiders, and Hollander, a Canadian-born star of the Montreal Metros. While it\u2019s packed with bittersweet romance and sex scenes, many fans note that it stays surprisingly faithful to the novel\u2019s steamy content.<\/p>\n\u201cWhat I loved about [the story] and why I did ultimately think it was adaptable is because sex is the language of their love,\u201d creator Jacob Tierney<\/strong> told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>. \u201cSex is how you tell the story because their sex changes as they get to know each other, as they get to know themselves.\u201d<\/p>\nDespite the on-screen romance, neither Storrie nor Williams has publicly shared details about their sexualities. Tierney explained in Xtra Magazine<\/em> that casting queer actors for queer roles isn\u2019t something productions can legally probe.<\/p>\n\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s any reason to get into that stuff,\u201d he said. \u201cYou can\u2019t ask questions like that when you\u2019re casting, right? It\u2019s actually against the law. So what you have to gauge is somebody\u2019s enthusiasm and willingness to do the work. The chemistry between Storrie and Williams was apparent from the start. \u201cHudson was the third actor that I read with,\u201d Storrie told Out Magazine<\/em>. \u201cThe first two, I was like, \u2018OK, this is cool,\u2019 and then Hudson came on. Jacob [Tierney] actually texted me directly and was like, \u2018What do you think?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Yeah, Hudson, for sure.\u2019 Instantly.\u201d<\/p>\nSo, who is Storrie dating? Fans hoping for an off-screen romance might be disappointed.
