Tate McRae has an alter-ego<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old pop star admits that she’s naturally “very introspective, very sensitive, very introverted” – but Tate allows her alter-ego, Tatiana, to take over when she’s on stage.<\/p>\n
Tate told Rolling Stone magazine: “I started to black out onstage and become this person that I couldn\u2019t explain, nor could my family or my friends, and I needed a reason for it. And I think it helps me grasp the strange theory of why I\u2019m not nervous in front of 15,000 people, and why I can be nervous at a dinner party with four people.’<\/p>\n
Tate admits that her alter-ego is distinctly different from her real-life self.<\/p>\n
She explained: “Tate is this very introspective, very sensitive, very introverted, awkward Canadian. Maybe more on the shy side. I\u2019m observant, and I feel very internal, all the time. And then, this persona that I\u2019ve created is my way of being this confident pop girl.”<\/p>\n
\nTate previously admitted that she’s a “very goal-driven person”.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer has a number of career ambitions that she really wants to achieve, with Tate explaining that she’s “really good at manifesting”.<\/p>\n
\nTate told Pride: “I always have things that I’m setting my sights on. I’m a very goal-driven person. Sometimes, I think I’m a little clairvoyant. I’m really good at manifesting!<\/p>\n
\n“I would die to perform at the VMA’s. That’s something I’ve watched all my idols do for so many years. For some reason, that specific performance is something I’ve always wanted. <\/p>\n
\n“My ideal performance is a perfect balance of dance, outfit, singing, and musical arrangement. When they’re all balanced perfectly, that’s my ideal performance.”<\/p>\n
\nTate also confessed to being amazed by her recent rise.<\/p>\n
\nThe Sports Car hitmaker said: “I can’t believe this is my job. <\/p>\n
\n“Four years ago, I played my first ever show at The Moroccan Lounge in front of 100 people in Los Angeles. It was the size of a shoebox, like it’s so small. I could see my grandma, my mom, and everybody that I knew. Now, we’re performing three nights at the Kia Forum. It’s the biggest dream of my life. It’s insane!”<\/p>\n
