The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em><\/a>\u2018 Chase McWhorter<\/strong> found a way to poke fun at himself after his recent DUI arrest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lion doesn\u2019t concern himself with the opinion of non-bus riders,\u201d Chase, 30, captioned a TikTok video on Tuesday, December 9. In the video, Chase was seen waiting for his bus at the station.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo DUIs when you\u2019re along for the ride!!\u201d read a fan\u2019s comment, to which Chase replied, \u201cVibes only.\u201d Another social media user replied, \u201cI JUST REMEMBERED WHY YOU\u2019RE A BUS USER NOW AND IM CRYINGG.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase also received praise for acknowledging his mistakes.<\/a><\/p>\n

During the season 3 finale of the hit Hulu show, released on Thursday, November 13, Chase and Taylor met for [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> recently confirmed that Chase was charged with three misdemeanors<\/a> back in July \u2014 possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence and driving on a suspended or revoked license. His bail was set at $2,500.<\/p>\n

Court documents stated that Chase was pulled over after authorities noticed \u201ca vehicle driven by a male, later identified as [Chase], who was unable to maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times, almost hitting a curb.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the police report, law enforcement \u201cdetected the odor of alcohol and observed he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech\u201d when they approached Chase, who \u201cadmitted to drinking at a bar and using cocaine before driving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase subsequently broke his silence on his legal troubles.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cTime to address the elephant in the room. And I don\u2019t have a PR person, so we\u2019re just gonna rawdog this s***,\u201d he said in a TikTok video uploaded on Thursday, December 4. \u201cThe reports you saw yesterday that came out about what happened on July 4 with me are true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase explained that he wanted to take ownership of the situation, adding, \u201cI was pulled over for driving under the influence, had ingested substances that I shouldn\u2019t have and got behind the wheel of a car. Extremely shortsighted, selfish and dangerous decision. And shout-out to the cop for helping people stay safe on the road, because it could have ended much worse than it did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBefore they were embroiled in a bizarre \u201csoft-swinging\u201d scandal at the center of Mormon #MomTok in 2022, Chase and Miranda McWhorter were simply a couple that got married too young. The pair met shortly after Miranda graduated high school and tied the knot in 2017. At the time, Miranda was 20 and Chase was 22. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Looking back at the incident, Chase knew he should have made different choices.<\/p>\n

\u201cI should have Ubered, but for some reason, I decided to drive home, and that decision alone kills people every single day,\u201d he said. \u201cI understand the severity of it. Obviously, it was a humiliating low being pulled over and taken in. Terrible look for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase recalled having to tell ex-wife Miranda McWhorter<\/strong><\/a> that he was arrested (The pair, who were married from 2017 to 2024, share kids Brooks, 6, and Cohen, 4.)<\/p>\n
