Celebrity injector Anush<\/strong> Movsesian<\/strong><\/a> is revealing the secrets behind some of Hollywood\u2019s hottest aesthetic trends and argues that despite the popularity of filler removal, cosmetic treatments are as in-demand as ever.<\/p>\n

Movsesian, 41, who has been working in aesthetics for over 10 years, said she sees celebrity patients whose desires range from \u201cminimal\u201d tweaks to \u201ceverything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really just depends on the actor or the actress or the celebrity,\u201d Movsesian exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cWe are throwing around the words \u2018pillow face\u2019 and \u2018filler fatigue\u2019 more, and I think that because social media exists now, surgeons can get on their platform and say, \u2018Don\u2019t do things, don\u2019t overdo things. Down the road, your facelift is going to be difficult.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Movsesian is known for her precision and dedication to creating classic, timeless enhancements that have earned her the trust of a long list of high-profile clients, as well as men and women from all walks of life. \u201cWe have all this information, [but] we don\u2019t know what to do with it,\u201d she explained. \u201cEveryone\u2019s just using these terms, but in all reality, I think that everyone is still doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Movsesian also doesn\u2019t think celebrities can always kickstart trends on their own.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw Kylie<\/strong> Jenner<\/strong><\/a> go from her \u2018pillow face\u2019 to talking about removing a lot of the filler. But I don\u2019t think it necessarily means just because Kylie did it, now it\u2019s a trend and everyone\u2019s doing it,\u201d she continued. \u201cI still have a lot of patients, a lot that still want a lot done, and [I] have to turn people away on a daily basis. So, I think we have a lot of everything. We have a lot of natural patients, and we have a lot of patients that want a lot more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Movsesian, who owns and operates the L.A.\u2013based aesthetic practice Routine by Anush Movsesian<\/a>, told Us<\/em> that she noticed a shift to people becoming more fixated on their skin during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that when we got locked in indoors, we just stared at the mirror all day, and we had access to purchasing things online, and everyone was so skincare-crazy,\u201d Movsesian said. \u201cI no longer like to call it a trend. I think that women are more into taking care of their skin health, and so therefore, once the doors opened and it was no longer just staying indoors and learning how to cleanse and apply retinol, now we\u2019re doing a lot of skincare treatments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Movsesian told Us<\/em> that if there is a single treatment she would recommend to patients, it would easily be microneedling.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter how much technology improves, microneedling will always be one of the No. 1 skin treatments for me,\u201d Movsesian said. \u201cIt is honestly a game-changer. Whether you do it with your own PRP (platelet-rich plasma), whether you do it with exosomes or PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor), or just hyaluronic acid, it\u2019ll always be the old school, one of the best treatments, and I recommend it to everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the rise in usage of GLP-1s, observers have used the term \u201cOzempic face\u201d to describe the look that results after people lose significant weight in their face. While Movsesian admits that she\u2019s not an \u201cexpert\u201d on GLP-1s, she has seen many patients that are experiencing this, and they often have two major concerns.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir faces have gone down, and their butts have gone down,\u201d Movsesian told Us<\/em>. \u201cThe No. 1 thing I turn to is Sculptra. You don\u2019t want to fill the face with jelly. You want to replenish volume in a more natural way. And I\u2019m going to go with Sculptra because it\u2019s a bio stimulator. \u2026 So, whether it\u2019s your face or your booty, I\u2019m going to say Sculptra is probably the best way to replenish volume and collagen in your face.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re seeing more things and we\u2019re more educated on it, whether it\u2019s real information or just information thrown out there. The younger generation has more knowledge, and they have more resources to look into it. And I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s a good thing, but they\u2019re looking at things and lifting things, and it looks better to them,\u201d Movsesian told Us<\/em>. \u201cBeing in the field for so long \u2014 and I\u2019ve had over 8,000 patients \u2014 you more or less learn people\u2019s different personality traits, but you can automatically tell when the problem really isn\u2019t on the outside, it\u2019s on the inside. It\u2019s my job to say, \u2018No.\u2019 I can\u2019t just bang off that the patient\u2019s bothered by something and just do it when it\u2019s really not the right thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding celebrities that have mastered the art of \u201csubtle beauty,\u201d Movsesian said she thinks Lindsay<\/strong> Lohan<\/strong><\/a>, Hilary<\/strong> Duff<\/strong> <\/a>and Jennifer<\/strong> Lopez<\/strong><\/a> haven\u2019t overdone it.<\/p>\n
