\t\t<\/p>\n Delilah Belle Hamlin<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her lengthy battle with endometriosis.<\/p>\n The 27-year-old daughter of Lisa Rinna<\/strong><\/a> and Harry Hamlin<\/strong><\/a> shared the details of her experience on the Tuesday (December 9) episode of the She MD<\/a><\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Initially, she says she had very \u201cpainful periods\u201d but struggled to receive an accurate diagnosis despite seeing multiple gynecologists. <\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t until she heard Halsey<\/strong> speaking up about her own experience<\/a> with the chronic disease that Delilah<\/strong> realized what it could be. Before that, she considered the possibility of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).<\/p>\n \u201cThe first time I had ever heard of it was when Halsey<\/strong> posted about it on her Instagram years ago,\u201d she revealed. \u201cAnd then I never thought about it. I thought about PCOS and other things that gynecologists would bring up. But my cramps were so bad I was diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).\u201d<\/p>\n Among her most debilitating symptoms were cramps \u201cso bad\u201d she would \u201cbe taken out of school.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI would have more frequent seizures during my period or before my period,\u201d Delilah<\/strong> shared. \u201cI would get really hot, and I would start convulsing.\u201d<\/p>\n The SKIMS<\/em> model even revealed that she got sober because of the seizures. \u201cThat was my main reason,\u201d she said. \u201cI definitely struggled with substance abuse because I was having so much depression and anxiety. The panic attacks were so bad. No one\u2019s figuring out the root cause to all these things.\u201d<\/p>\n But this past August, she was finally able to get endometriosis surgery that has since significantly improved her life.<\/p>\n \u201cIt feels good to know that it can be fixed.
