On Tuesday, Prince William<\/strong><\/a> got a sweet surprise while visiting the new offices of Centrepoint<\/a>, a charitable organization working to end youth homelessness, in honor of his 20th anniversary as its patron.<\/p>\n \u201cWilliam is a huge chocolate fan, so I slipped a chocolate biscuit tier into the cake, as I know it\u2019s one of his favorites,\u201d royal baker Juliet Sear<\/strong>, who baked the cake and is also an ambassador for Centrepoint, said of \u201cthe complete surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n William famously has a sweet tooth and received the cake while visiting Centrepoint\u2019s new offices in London. It is his oldest patronage, he inherited the charity from his late mother Princess Diana<\/a>, who became patron in 1992.<\/p>\n During the visit, William met with Centrepoint staff and young people who have benefitted from the organization\u2019s work. He was shown the charity\u2019s new Wall of Hope mural, created by artist Lanre Olagoke<\/strong> MBE to celebrate Centrepiece\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n Juliet Sear<\/p>\n <\/span>Courtesy of Juliet Sear.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n William has pledged to end homelessness through his Homewards program<\/a>, a five-year initiative he launched in 2023 via the Royal Foundation to show that homelessness can be made \u201crare, brief and unrepeated.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to make something special just to thank him for the tireless work he has done to support the charity and his attempt to end homelessness in the UK,\u201d said Sear, who has created many cakes for the royal family, including one for Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 30th<\/sup> birthday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
