I\u2019ll always love playing the role of Dewey,\u201d Arquette, 53, exclusively told Us [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The film follows prominent bookies Charlie (Arquette) and Felix (Abeckaser) after they\u2019re busted for running an illegal sports betting operation. After they serve time in jail, they decide to go to the country of Georgia to open an underground casino. Everything seems to be going fine until the Russian mob enters the picture and trouble soon follows. While in Georgia, Charlie meets Sonia (Pick) and they fall for each other. Unfortunately, as time goes on, Charlie doesn\u2019t know if he can trust Sonia or Felix anymore.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Perfect Gamble<\/em> reunites Arquette with his longtime friend and collaborator Abeckaser, 66, who he\u2019s worked with on several projects. This film is historic in that it is their first time sharing scenes despite their extensive history.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a certain like secondhand and comfortable nature that you have with friends that you\u2019ve known for years,\u201d Arquette told Omari on the popular podcast. \u201cI\u2019ve known him since, you know, like the early nineties, and so just to be able to act opposite him, I never really had that opportunity. We\u2019re both in [the film] <em>Mob Town,<\/em> but we didn\u2019t have any scenes with each other. So this one we really get to like have these scenes. It is just so funny and his character\u2019s really high energy, like coming at me. My character is a little bit more reserved, and so it was a fun dynamic to play with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arquette, who comes from a famous acting family, has four siblings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/patricia-arquette\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Patricia<\/strong><\/a>, 57, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/stylish\/news\/rosanna-arquette-whats-in-my-bag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rosanna<\/strong><\/a>, 66, <strong>Richmond<\/strong>, 62 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/alexis-arquette-dead-transgender-actress-dies-at-47-w439001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Alexis<\/strong><\/a>, who died in 2016 at age 47. Their parents <strong>Lewis Arquette<\/strong> and <strong>Brenda<\/strong> <strong>Denaut<\/strong> were notable actors as well. Those are both kind of recipes for disaster,\u201d Arquette said on \u201cChanel in the City.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s a challenging business because there\u2019s constant rejection within it, and you have to continue to believe in yourself. You have to continue to go out there and you get to continue to get doors slammed in your face and then sometimes they just open up, and then when you go through, sometimes those doors just become way more than you ever expected. So it\u2019s just a matter of believing in yourself, continuing not beating yourself up, continuing at the grind and continuing to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With <em>Scream 7<\/em>, set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026, fans were excited to see that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/neve-campbell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Neve<\/strong> <strong>Campbell<\/strong><\/a> and Arquette were returning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/scream-7-trailer-reveals-neve-campbells-return-after-cast-exits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reprise their roles<\/a> in the iconic horror franchise. Though there is some confusion among fans regarding what Arquette\u2019s role will look like since his character Dewey was killed off in the fifth film. Arquette said he\u2019s unable to reveal anything, but he\u2019s \u201cso happy to be back as part of the <em>Scream<\/em> family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arquette reflected on his various roles throughout his career to Omari, noting the importance of the <em>Scream<\/em> franchise to him and that his \u201ccoolest role\u201d was as Dude Delaney in <strong>Robert<\/strong> <strong>Rodriguez<\/strong>\u2018s 1994 film <em>Roadracers<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got to work with Robert Rodriguez on a film called Roadracers. That really was as far as cool goes,\u201d Arquette told Omari. \u201cBut Dewey\u2019s really \u2026 I mean, <strong>Wes<\/strong> <strong>Craven<\/strong> changed my life in such a huge way personally, like was such an inspiration and mentor.
